The Different Between Cold Applied Tape And Anti-Corrosion Tape

     Cold applied tape  and anti-corrosion tape all be a pipe line corrosion protected material.In fact anti-corrosion tape just include cold applied tape,and inner wrap tape,outer wrap tape,joint wrap tape also is a clod applied tape because of the install style.But in Tongjin, in order to differentiate the two different product,we call them cold applied tape and anti-corrosion tape respectively.

     There are two kinds of Cold applied tape,polyethylene cold applied tape and polypropylene cold applied tape.The significant feature for cold applied tape is there is a separation film,always is white.Because the adhesive of cold applied tape is very thick,and soft,the film can prevent the tape stick together.And the adhesive always obtain bitumen.Now Tongjin do a better cold applied tape without bitumen.

     There are three kinds of anti-corrosion tape,inner tape,outer tape,joint tape.They are made of a polyethylene backing and butyl adhesive.The tapes always is thinner than cold applied tape,mainly the adhesive is thinner. When we do the pipe steel anti-corrosion job, we wrap the inner tape on the steel surface first, the wrap the outer tape on inner tape surface.The joint tape with thicker thickness just for pipe line joint anti-corrosion.That is the significant feature of polyethylene anti-corrosion tape different from the cold applied tape.
